The Store,
Roberta Roller Rabbit
The Roberta Roller Rabbit collection by Roberta Freymann is an off shoot of the women's ready-to-wear line Roberta Freymann. Originally both lines were housed under one roof, first in an Upper East Side brownstone and then in the Roberta Freymann flagship store on 70th Street in New York City.
Named for a fable Roberta found on discarded fabric in India telling the tale of Roberta Roller Rabbit, this hand block printed collection began in 2003 as a small line of colorful block printed beach tunics for mother and daughter. Today, Roberta Roller Rabbit is best described as a lifestyle brand having evolved into a cornucopia of products including women's, children's, and men's apparel; home furnishings, upholstered and hand painted furniture, gift items, and there's more to come!
In November of 2006, just five months after the Roberta Freymann boutique opened in East Hampton and a mere twenty months after the Roberta Freymann flagship in New York City opened its doors, Roberta Roller Rabbit settled in just three blocks away from its previous home. The store is painted a warm yellow with original wooden floor boards, white accents and ornate features made from hand carved wooden frames. The logo is a flirty, curvaceous bunny which at first glance looks like a cursive 'R' reiterating the onomatopoeic feel of the brand name Roberta Roller Rabbit. |
