Yet another pattern that represents the exquisite offspring of cross-cultural pollination. In this case the influence of Provencal 'boutis' quilting compositions provided the catalyst for the design. Popular motifs from this traditional style born in the south of France were brought to our craftsmen in Jaipur. In their studios each garment is wood block printed by hand and the result is a feast for the eyes--a meeting of east and west, where the whole package is truly greater than the sum of its parts.
